Thatcher and his Bumbo

Thatcher has been dying to sit up (even though he can't), so we got out the Bumbo and he loved it. Of course, Brenton had to get in on it too!

Books, Books, and More Books

Last week, we took Brenton to the library for the first time. For those who know Brenton well, you know that he loves books (and has hundreds of them), but a whole room of books was very exciting for him. We plan to do this every few weeks!

St. Patrick's Day Picnic

The weather was great on St. Patrick's day. For dinner, we took a picnic to the park. Brenton loved eating outside and Thatcher enjoyed just laying on the blanket!

Rolling, Rolling

Last Tuesday Thatcher rolled over for the first (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.) time. Unfortunately, I was at work and missed the first time. Luckily, Michael was home on Spring Break and was able to witness it first hand. I guess all is fair, I was able to see Brenton roll over the first time and Michael was at work.

Happy Day

We were practicing a worship team song and Brenton apparently loves this song. As soon as he heard it start, he started singing "happy day." It was too cute to pass up sharing!

Cute Boys, Cute Outfit!

Thatcher wore an outfit to church today that Uncle Roo and Aunt Jill-E had gotten for Brenton. It was too cute to pass up and I was amazed at how much they (kinda) looked alike. See for yourself! Brenton is the one on top, Thatcher is on the bottom.

What a MESS!

Saturday, we were getting our house ready for a Sunday School Party (with a St. Patrick's Day "Green" theme), Michael went into Brenton's room and found him emptying his closet. So much for cleaning up!

Later in the day, we snapped a few pictures of us all dressed in green.

Cooking with Daddy

Michael was craving some Rice Krispie Treats, so last Friday, he, Brenton, and Thatcher made some green ones in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The only problem-Brenton kept eating the ingredients!

Worms!

Last week we did some work outside of our house, including stain our new porch and expanding and mulching our flower beds. While Michael and I did some back breaking digging, Brenton collected worms. He loved them and kept asking us to find more. He collected them on one of the stones and watched them for a long time.

Isn't She Lovely?

On Friday, March 6, at 4:40am, our little baby McKinley Grace was born. Although we were not expecting to make another trip to Atlanta so soon, we were so excited to meet her. She weighed 7 lbs and 9 oz and looks just like her mommy. We tried to do a mini photo session with the three cousins (wow-try that with a 2 day old, a 3 month old, and a 21 month old) and...well... you see how that went. We love you McKinley and can't wait to see you again!

A Trip to the ATL

Last weekend, we went on a road trip to Atlanta to see Uncle Roo and Aunt Jill-E one last time before baby McKinley is born. We spent some good time together and did a little shopping. I even had a good reason to look at girl clothes (which Michael usually discourages). Brenton loves to watch Uncle Roo play his guitar (we "blame" him for this obsession :-). We are sooo excited about meeting McKinley Grace (coming soon)!

A Warm(er) Day

Last week on one of the warmer days, we spent a little time outside, much needed by Brenton. Although it was windy, we bundled Thatcher up and spent sometime playing outside.
