Big Boy Thatcher

Yesterday, Thatcher went to the doctor for his 4 month checkup (even though he is closer to 5 months, than 4). He weighed 14 lbs, 9 oz and was 25 1/4 inches long. In contrast to Brenton his head was only in the 10 percentile. The doctor said he was developing very well, and had the beginnings of an ear infection. So, he had both his first antibiotic and first cereal in one day. Needless to say, he did not love the cereal but ate a few bites. He decided that it was better to suck his fingers instead! We love to watch these first moments of trying new foods!

Easter Sunday

As most of you know, we love to coordinate our clothes for Easter (and usually Christmas) Sundays. This year was no exception. We found the boys adorable outfits, then bought clothes to match them. We thought they were so cute (by they, I mean the boys)!

Our Little...(well) Artist

As most parents have probably experienced, Brenton colored on the glass door last week. Thankfully it was not on anything that could not be cleaned up! As two parents with degrees in child development, we made him help clean it up...he thought it was great fun!

A Fishy Story

One of Brenton's favorite things to do is to go to the pet store and look at the "pish." We have been thinking about getting him a fish for sometime, and decided to last Saturday (most likely because he was not feeling well-who can resist a sick baby) to bring one home with us. He was so excited to put the tank together!

Boys and Bunnies

So we had the brilliant idea last week to take some pictures of Brenton and Thatcher with some baby bunnies that Michael's dad had. As if it were not hard enough to get a picture with a 22 and 4 month old, we added about 15 baby bunnies to the mix. The results weren't fantastic but oh so cute!

You Can't Make Me Smile

We took Brenton and Thatcher to have their picture made with the Easter Bunny today. Brenton was less than pleased with having to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap. To give him credit, he did sit, but WOULD NOT smile.

A Hunting We Will Go

Later that day, Brenton attended his first official Easter egg hunt with our Sunday School class. He found the most exciting part was eating the candy from inside the eggs! Thatcher just enjoyed the ride!

Easter Eggs

So doing just about anything with a rambunctious 22 month old can be a hazard, and it was no different dying Easter eggs. We started with a dozen eggs, and ended up with about 2 that had not been broken by the end. Brenton thought it was great and several eggs ended up being thrown into the cups.

We can only imagine what next Easter will be like!

Precious Baby

As many of you know, Thatcher is a VERY sensitive little guy. Anything from Brenton bumping him to a loud noise to touching him the wrong way when he is hungry can send him into a total melt down. It is so precious and it breaks my heart!
