Brenton Michael is 2!
Today our baby boy Brenton is 2 years old! Even though we are a little sad about time passing so quickly, we are thankful that Brenton is growing healthy and strong! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRENTON!

A Fishy Birthday
We had Brenton's 2nd birthday party at Alcoa Duck Pond. It was a fishing theme and everyone brought their fishing poles and caught a few fish. All of the kids had a fun time! Brenton had a great time, but one of the highlights of the party was getting to sing "Happy Birthday" and blow out the candles. He loved it so much that he ask Michael to light them again and then motioned for everyone to sing again! Of course we did! He received lots of fun presents, many of which were Mickey Mouse. After loading the presents in our car, it looked like we had robbed the Disney store! Thanks to all our precious friends and family for making Brenton's birthday one we will not forget!

Zoo Day
Corn on the Cob
It was a "Happy Mother's Day!"
Last Sunday was a really nice day to be remembered as a mother. Although I have officially been a mother for 2 years, it often doesn't seem real that I have 2 precious boys.
We had a great day as a family! We dedicated Thatcher on Sunday morning, had lunch, and I even got a nap on Sunday afternoon. Thanks to my precious husband for making the day special and for changing ALL "poo-poo diapers" that day! I love you boys!

Brenton's Birthday!
If you have been around our family very long-you know that some of us have birthmonths instead of birthdays. May is Brenton's birthmonth! He will be 2 on May 25 (something I would rather not speak of)! Therefore, the background for our blog is dedicated to our big boy Brenton!
"Mickey Mouse Kughouse"
Brenton's new obsession is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We are slowly in the process of acquiring all things Mickey Mouse at our house. This morning, he brought his Mickey Mouse to the table and held him while he ate off his Mickey Mouse plate, with his Mickey Mouse spoon. Notice his other obsession-oatmeal!
Matching Shirts
I admit that although I used to frown upon children being dressed alike-we have fallen into the dressing our boys alike trap. We often put them in coordinating outfits and have a few things that are identical. These shirts, however, were not bought with the intent to match. We bought them at separate times and only realized it when I was getting spring/summer clothes washed. We figure we better do this now while we can-before they have opinions of their own:-)
Brenton LOVES Books!
One of Brenton's most favorite things to do is to read and look at books. I was fixing dinner a few nights ago and turned around to see Brenton with a book and a little monkey on the floor reading! He is a smart boy! His favorite book of the moment is "The Princess and the Pizza" (who could have guessed-it is a pretty long book).
Brenton and the Exersaucer
Ok, you have probably figured out by now that anything that Thatcher has to play with is also fair game for Brenton too. We came into the den one night to find Brenton in the Exersaucer! He had climbed in by himself! From time to time, we find him in it again, and have even found him in it with Thatcher (not a safe situation). It is funny to see Brenton (and his long legs) playing in this toy!
